Trees for Life Oregon are volunteer tree stewards who seek to stem the loss of large-form trees from Portland. Their work advocates to protect large trees from developments through better design and stricter tree protection codes.
Urban Greenspaces Institute serves as fiscal sponsor and advisor for their project to develop a video to visualize and identify policy solutions to the loss of large-form trees from our cities. Specific tasks included grant editing and facilitation, fundraising through crowd-funding platforms and matching, etc. The project is currently in the process of raising the last portion of its funding to complete their educational video project to advocate for large tree preservations. If you would like to donate to help with their effort, please consider donating through their designated Paypal link.
